2025 SheBelieves Cup

The 2025 SheBelieves Cup, presented by Visa, is a women’s soccer showcase featuring the U.S. Women’s National Team (USWNT) alongside Japan, Australia, and Colombia. The tournament was held across three U.S. cities: Houston, Texas; Glendale, Arizona; and San Diego, California. Team USA faced off against Australia in Arizona on February 23rd at State Farm Stadium.

2024 WNBA All-Star Game

2024 WNBA All-Star

The 2024 WNBA All-Star Game took place on July 20, 2024, at the Footprint Center in Phoenix, Arizona, where Team WNBA triumphed over Team USA with a score of 117–109. Arike Ogunbowale set a new All-Star Game scoring record by contributing 34 points, all in the second half, earning her the MVP title.

2024 NCAA Men’s Final Four game

2024 Men’s Final Four

The 2024 NCAA Men’s Final Four, held at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona, featured UConn and Purdue advancing to the championship game after defeating Alabama and NC State, respectively. In the championship game on April 8, UConn secured their sixth national title by defeating Purdue 75–60, becoming the first team to win consecutive championships since Florida in 2007.

The 2016 College Football Playoff National Championship, held on January 11, 2016, at University of Phoenix Stadium in Glendale, Arizona, saw the Alabama Crimson Tide defeat the Clemson Tigers 45–40. The game featured standout performances from Alabama’s Derrick Henry and a critical onside kick that swung momentum in their favor, securing the Tide’s 16th national title.

Held on January 25, 2015, one week prior to Super Bowl XLIX, the 2015 Pro Bowl brought together the best players from the NFL season to compete at the University of Phoenix Stadium. Players showed their talents and celebrated their success at the first Pro Bowl held outside of Hawaii since 2010.

Super Bowl XXX

Super Bowl XXX, held on January 28, 1996, at Sun Devil Stadium in Tempe, Arizona, featured the Dallas Cowboys defeating the Pittsburgh Steelers 27–17 to claim their fifth championship. The game was marked by a key interception by Cowboys cornerback Larry Brown, who was named MVP for his pivotal performance.
